Newsflash

AN JOSE, Calif. - A San Jose police spokesman said that preliminary information indicates that the victim of an officer-involved shooting Friday was a man wanted on an outstanding warrant in connection with an alleged attempt to flee a Technology Drive hotel. According to Officer Enrique Garcia, the officers present during the incident were all part of a Santa Clara County enforcement team that focuses on apprehending violent or narcotic offenders.

Just before 11 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Courtyard Marriott at 1727 Technology Drive after receiving information that the man with the outstanding warrant was located there, Garcia said. When officers arrived, they found the man and attempted to make contact before he tried to escape. When the man fled, a least one officer fired at him, said Garcia.

The man received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, he said.

Around 3:45 p.m., investigators began interviewing the officers and witnesses at the scene, said Garcia. He could not confirm how many officers were involved or how many of them shot at the man.

Garcia explained that the enforcement team is made up of officers from every police department in the county and it is too early in the investigation to know which city's police departments had officers involved in the shooting.

The San Jose police homicide unit is in charge of the criminal investigation, as it always is for officer-involved shooting, said Garcia. The investigation will also be overseen by the district attorney's office and monitored by the police departments of the officers present.

Moral And Unethical Business Pratices

Posted by: hurtman on 04/24/2009 11:33 AM

Jim Bagley is the owner of Jim's Treescape a home based business which i feel is operating illegaly according to wisconsin law.this person rips off senior citizens of there money. our family has known the person for years andhad work done by him several times with no problems until now.

it turns out this person is a lier and has unethical business practices and takes advantages of senior citizens of their money.

I had some landscaping done from him taking a streach of side walk out and was discused and verbaly agreed apon to lay stone down before he gave us the price.that puts us into an verbal contract and a writtinen contract that he didn't mention the laying of stone. his price for the complete job was $2500 which was way to high in the begining.

i had other stuff done as well. the week before Easter he told us he would start later that week. never did i left a message to call lie number 1 he said " I tried calling you all weekend" which was easter sunday. my phone never flashed all weekend and never got a call on my cell phone.the next week didn't show up till 2 pm for 2hours the whole week was 50 to 73 degrees.and i was off of work as he knew.

lie number 2 told my parents that he never sugested certion stone. we walked over to the neighbor yard to see what he had. on jim's suggestion so im guessing he was driving around the neighborhood looking for stones. he said the place has plenty of this. i agreed another verbal contract. the next day he said they don't have that but gave me something else i agreed.

he had maybe at most $300 of material and maybe at most 30 hours in for 2 people. now during all this time nothing was mention about charging any extra money.

he finaly finished the whole job i went to work and my eldery parents were there and knew of the agreements and the cost. all of a sudden he tacks on another $500 to lay stone which probably took no more than 30 min for 2 people.

very unproffional and unethical business practice.

maybe i should charge them let say four bottle of water @ $125 each

he makes excusses about the weather it rain 2 days out of the week and a half. lie number 3 tells me they weren't doing other jobs so then where were you for the week after Easter when the weather was good?

I had some jobs lined up for him as i mention to him but now i wouldn't recommend him to anybody.
